Innovating What We do Drives Success – A Word from the President

Accounting Firm Innovation

With spring in the air, new beginnings come to the fore, and the connection between innovation and success becomes clearer than ever. It’s no coincidence that growth professionals view the end of busy season in the same way. Now is our chance, after a winter of planning and positioning, to power up vital initiatives and grow our firms.

Improving results means creating change, and embracing new ways of doing things. It takes knowledge and resources to accomplish this. AAM has been working hard to provide members with access to new educational experiences in order to better meet market and professional challenges in accordance with our Vision 2020 strategic plan.

We recently held our very first AAM on the Road seminar in Philadelphia. The session focused on marketing plans, allowed marketers, partners, and business developers to build the foundation of new firm or niche strategic marketing plans in a facilitated environment. Attendees enjoyed plenty of best practice sharing, interactive exercises, and networking. Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive, and we’ll be using it to plan more regional events.

Speaking of education and networking, we’re coming into an important time of the year with the annual AAM Summit at ENGAGE on the horizon. ENGAGE is going to be a one-of-a-kind experience for growth professionals, with many opportunities to learn, connect, and grow.

In addition to the jam-packed regular conference agenda, I also encourage you to check out AAM’s pre-conference sessions on June 12th. These two intensive value-added workshops give attendees the chance to focus in on key topics for a full 3.5 hours. As part of our Business Development track, Building the Vital Skills of Growth Leaders is designed to help participants learn about nurturing effective growth leadership in their firms. The other pre-conference session, Marketing Automation Boot Camp, will offer attendees an overview of how to make digital marketing successful in their firms. To sign up for one of these focused sessions, simply select one in addition to your three-day conference pass at registration.

When you combine these unique in-person programs with our virtual education platform of webinars, podcasts, and campfire sessions, there are a lot of great learning experiences to be had as an AAM member. Grab hold of the ones that make sense for your firm and your career, and take full advantage of the knowledge and community connections they provide.

Have any ideas for programs? We want to hear from you. Drop us a line, and help develop the next iteration of AAM programming!
