Today\, most websites are not accessible to all site visitors. People with vision\, hearing\, dexterity or cognitive disabilities may not be able to fully access or navigate your site. Clients\, prospects\, employees\, and potential recruits should all be able to explore your website easily and enjoyably. During this session\, we will explain how to make immediate updates as well as programmatic changes to improve your site to make it more inclusive for all visitors. \nOutline \n\nWhat is ADA compliance?\nWhat is web accessibility and why is it important?\nWhat are the visual considerations (color blindness\, color contrast\, motion control\, etc.)?\nWhat are the content concerns (alt image tags\, link naming\, closed captioning\, etc.)?\nWhat is needed programmatically (for screen readers\, tap navigation\, etc.)?\nHow can you incorporate accessibility considerations into your marketing beyond the website?\nTools to use and steps to take\nQ&A\n\nSpeakers \nVanessa Schaefer (she/her/hers) \n \nVanessa is a seasoned creative designer and marketing expert\, with over 35 years of advertising agency and in-house marketing experience. Vanessa’s in-depth understanding of service firm marketing has been gleaned from her years of hands-on working experience and close personal relationships with hundreds of clients. \nA results-driven marketer\, Vanessa works directly with clients as a team player\, thinking strategically and acting tactically. Vanessa especially enjoys creating powerful brands\, modern websites\, and cohesive marketing collateral.
