AAM Names Affiliate Ambassador

AAM Accounting Marketing Conference

A Word From the President

By Laura Snyder

AAM leadership continuously looks for ways to make the organization better for both its executive members (in-house professionals whose responsibilities include sales and marketing of accounting and/or consulting services), affiliate members (consultants or providers of goods and services to the accounting profession, members of the media, and individuals involved in marketing businesses, organizations, or associations in industries other than accounting).

To do so, we regularly ask members for feedback and guidance on what benefits they would like to receive.  Recently, AAM conducted brainstorming sessions with affiliate members to discuss what they like most about our organization, as well as areas that could use improvement. A tremendous amount of good information was shared on these calls and, as a result, a new position has been formed. Similar to our AAM Volunteer Ambassador position announced last year at Summit, which onboards volunteers for our committees and task forces, AAM has developed an AAM Affiliate Ambassador position to help us better communicate with and advocate for our affiliate members.

I am pleased to announce Reid Schroder, senior account executive with Siteimprove as AAM’s first Affiliate Ambassador.  During his two-year term, Reid is charged with helping AAM conduct bi-annual brainstorming calls open to all affiliate members. (Note: the next calls will be held Sept. 11, 2018, at 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.) He will also assist AAM leadership and volunteers in improving communication and in the development of new programs to benefit affiliate members.

AAM Summit exhibitors and sponsors will have the pleasure of welcoming Reid to his new role in-person as he makes his rounds on the exhibit floor.
