Welcome to the AAM Website.

It is a true honor to lead a group of professionals that make up AAM. You have an outstanding board of directors, committees, local chapter leaders, and talented home office staff.

This Web site is where a lot of things happen for AAM members. Find a mentor. Post a question. Sign up for an AAM-High session or the annual conference. Pull items from the marketing tool box and apply it to your practice. Take the AAM Smart Survey and see how your answers compare to other members. Past topics have been about the thought leaders in your firm, does marketing and HR collaborate, what new innovation are you adding to your Web site. In other words, it is a place to stay current and add to your marketing and business development tools.

Looking for a job or trying to find a marketing professional for your firm? AAM Hire and AAM Job Bank are great tools. The calendar of events is a ready listing of what’s happening, when and where for AAM National events, as well as local chapters.

There is an archive of past issues of the MarketTrends newsletter and links to members in the news stories. There are sample job descriptions for marketing positions, and the salary survey is one of the most downloaded piece of research on the AAM Web site. Need a consultant? The AAM Marketplace lists many great organizations that help CPA firms on a daily basis.

The discussion list is one of the more active gathering places within AAM. Questions are posted daily on issues that keep some of us awake at night like, “What to wear at a recruiting event”, or “CRM implementation”, “Dealing with mergers”, and “How to get partners to market”. The wisdom shared by members is always insightful and helpful.

And that is just the Web site.

Much of the networking of AAM happens at the Annual Conference and at ten local chapters. The work of the association is done in large part at the committee level. If you want to dig in and volunteer, this is a great place to do it.

AAM was the vision of some of the pioneer accounting marketing professionals back in the late 1980’s. It has grown to a position of respect in the industry and is growing in its influence on the accounting industry.

We have a talented and generous board and committee chairs. Don’t hesitate to contact them with questions. Their contact information is on the website. I am always interested in hearing from AAM members on their challenges and successes. My email is neil.fauerbach@sgcpa.com.

I am honored to serve as AAM President.

Cheers!

Neil
