Who
May Enter
Only AAM members who produced or directed the development of marketing communications programs between May 1, 2004 and April 26, 2005 may enter. Entries received from non-members will not be judged. Written approval from the accounting firm will be required if the person submitting an entry is no longer employed by the firm or participated in its creation on an outsourced or free-lance basis.
Consultants, design firms or agencies interested in entering the awards program may co-sponsor an entry with their accounting firm client who is an AAM Member. The accounting firm marketing professional(s) who is a member and who directed its development must submit the entry. Should the judges select the entry for an award, it will be presented to the accounting firm and the co-sponsoring affiliate members at AAM Summit 2005.
Judging Criteria
The AAM -MAA committee member in charge of judging will screen each entry form for completeness. Incomplete entry forms will be disqualified with no refund of the entry fee.
Awards will be based on objectives, strategy, concept, development, creativity and results. Recognition is given to those individuals instrumental in the overall development, implementation and results analysis of the communication concept/program.
Judges
Judges are selected based on their education and concentration in the areas of marketing, advertising, media, technology, sales expertise, experience in the areas being judged, as well as their exposure to accounting and professional services marketing. The judges represent a mix of these concentrations and at no point shall there be duplicate disciplines. The AAM -MAA committee member in charge of judging will explain the criteria to the judges along with the point system that is used to judge the entries. The judging will be broken down into firms that have more than 75 professionals and less than 75 professionals. There will be a total of six judges, each looking at all of the entries individually. Each group of judges will fulfill the same qualifications. Judges will carefully examine all aspects of each entry and consider the following criteria:
Is the entry well written grammatically?
Are the goals and objectives well defined and measurable?
How does the entry demonstrate strategic thinking?
How does the entry demonstrate creativity, and/or originality?
Does the delivery channel effectively serve the target audience(s)?
How efficiently and cost effectively was the entry executed?
How fully does the entry meet its stated objective?
What are the achieved results?
Winners
First Place and Distinguished Merit Awards are
presented to the entries judged the most outstanding. "Best
of Show" may be awarded to the entry which the judges believe
distinguishes itself above all the others. Winners are announced
at the annual conference.
